In what may be a good sign to come for 'Community' and 'Modern
Family,' stars Joel McHale and Sofia Vergara will announce this year's
Emmy nominations, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The
comedic duo will be joined by TV Academy chairman and CEO John Shaffner
for the announcement, which will take place on Jul. 8. Late-night
star Jimmy Fallon will host the 62nd annual Primetime Emmys, airing
live Aug. 29 on NBC. In recent years, actors who announced the
nominations coincidentally received nominations of their own. Such was
the case last year for Chandra Wilson ('Grey's Anatomy') and Jim Parsons
('Big Bang Theory'). Source

It worked for Betty White! Now there's a Facebook group called 'Let Cam
& Mitchell kiss on Modern Family,' and it's probably going to work,
too. Look at Mitchell. He is so sick of having to merely hug that sad
clown who just wunna dance at the ballet! Just let them make out in the
middle of the airport already. Viewers LOVE that. Facebook

There was a lot to enjoy in "Airport 2010." It was nonstop fun from
beginning to end. Gloria's surprise trip to Maui for Jay's birthday went
from a relaxing getaway to a chaotic family outing, all for the
pleasure of the viewer. The series has been finding great material in
all sorts of family activities all season long, so it's no surprise that
a family vacation got the same successful treatment. News of
Modern Family taking its cast of characters to Hawaii broke a number of
weeks ago and was met by excitement from most fans of the series. I was
thrilled that this episode focused on getting to and being at the
airport before the vacation could even start. Too often, this part of a
family vacation is glossed over in sitcoms, perhaps only used for a joke
or two before we are faded into our final destination. Modern Family
milked these preflight hours for all they were worth with some fantastic
results. To Read More Click

ABC's Modern Family, you know him as bearded, persnickety Mitchell, the
put-upon gay lawyer and (ahem) straight man to loopy life partner
Cameron (Eric Stonestreet), manic sister Claire (Julie Bowen) and burly
patriarch Jay (Ed O'Neill). At a long-running covers night at
New York's Joe's Pub this week, actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson applied his
thespianic powers to a higher cause: covering Lady Gaga's Latin-hombre
love tango, 'Alejandro.' Watch Ferguson's muy dramatico
interpretation, with a piano assist from drag-cabaret duo Kiki &
Herb's Kenny Mellman, below: Source

It's high time we Modern Family fans get a peek at some real
lovin' between Phil and Claire Dunphy (nakie Valentine's Day role-play
aside!), and what better time and place than when the whole fam damily
hits the sunny shores of Hawaii?
Thankfully, Mister Ty Burrell just filled us in on
all that sexiness and more, so throw on that lei, grab your scuba gear
and get in here...
Already a pro at the art of being tight-lipped, Ty's keeping
pretty mum about ModFam's trip to the Aloha State, but he does
tease this: Those Dunphy kiddos better watch out!
